The Singapore blue is a large, arboreal species of tarantula from Malaysia and Singapore. These spiders have been known to grow to approximately 23 cm across. The legs have intense blue with a brown or gold carapace. The male is usually not as vibrant, this species exhibiting sexual dimorphism.
Singapore blues are commonly kept as pets because of their beautiful colours and it used to sell over thousands USD in the market. Caution should be taken, as Singapore blues are a relatively aggressive species and tend to bite as the first line of defence.
ABOUT SIZES
In Tarantula life cycle, there is only eggs, spider-ling and adult.
However for pricing convenience, this is a personal rule of thumb, obviously this varies on the species of tarantula.
1. Sling (1cm~2cm)
2. Juvenile (2cm~7cm)
3. Sub adult (7cm~10cm)
4. Adult (10cm~12cm+)
It varies on species as some adults may only reach a few centrimeters while others may get (20cm~25cm+)
