This scorpion belongs to the family of the Buthidae and genus of androctonus which their common name is derived from their distinctly fat metasoma, or tail, while the Latin name originates from Greek and means "man killer. Its belongs to the species of baluchicus. This species of scorpion can be found in the region of west Asia such as in the countries as Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The adult size for this species of scorpion is relatively smaller as compare to other species which is 50mm. This species of scorpion have carapace and tergites are usually reddish yellow to yellowish brown. Metasomal segments I to III are yellow and segment IV is yellowish with some darker areas. Metasomal segment V and telson vesicle is usually darker. Aculeus is reddish basally and becoming black towards the tip. Pedipalps are usually darker yellow, ochre yellow or dirty yellow with darker pigment on the internal surface of femur and patella and reddish pigment on dentate margin granular rows. Sternites are pale yellow. Legs are reddish yellow.
