Description
Acanthoscurria geniculate, also known as “Giant whiteknee”, “Brazilian whiteknee tarantula” and “Whitebanded tarantula”, is a beautiful bird eating spider due to its coloration, pattern and behavior. They are from Brazil as stated in the name. Brazillian white knee will furiously hunts down their prey, going straight for the kill.
You’ll sometimes hear people talk about Acanthoscurria transamazonica, which is being used as a synonym for the same spider. Acanthoscurria geniculata is high on many favorite-lists. Beginners sometimes confuse her with Nhandu chromatus.
Acanthoscurria geniculata lives in the tropical humid and warm rainforests of Brazil. Temperatures around 30°C. Despite the warm environment, these tarantulas settle by hiding under wood barks or rocks, so keepers are suggested not to overheat their enclosure.

ABOUT SIZES
In Tarantula life cycle, there is only eggs, spider-ling and adult.
However for pricing convenience, this is a personal rule of thumb, obviously this varies on the species of tarantula.
1. Sling (1cm~2cm)
2. Juvenile (2cm~7cm)
3. Sub adult (7cm~10cm)
4. Adult (10cm~12cm+)
It varies on species as some adults may only reach a few centrimeters while others may get (20cm~25cm+)
